Central Ohio SAQA members joined the likes of SAQA members in Washington DC and other regions by hosting the first ever SAQA Ohio Parlor meeting on October 30, 2010 in the home of Sue King in Lancaster, Ohio.

Six SAQA members including Peggy McDevitt, Shelley Brenner Baird, Kris Worthington, Terry Ann Hartzell, Jancy McClellan Ryan, and Sue King enjoyed lunch and each other's company. Susan Warthman Nash and Beth Schillig were unable to attend but have promised to make it to the next meeting.

Each person brought some of their work to share with the group, which caused much excitement among the other artists. Members networked, exchanged business cards and scribbled notes about new leads on fabrics, thread, dyes and professional photographers.

The group decided this event was so helpful that they plan to hold quarterly Parlour Meetings, touring each other's studios and sharing potluck meals and inspiration. This is a fantastic way to meet SAQA Ohio members in your area. Why not call or email a few members in your quadrant of the state and host a Parlor Meeting.
